      I really like a website called FinViz(dot)com

It has a lot of neat filters and visuals. Specifically the channel up tab. See below.

Ya Warren Buffet would like 25% gains on all of his stocks too but we know that it is just not feasible.

Markets too high at the moment in my opinion. I hate to say it but I'd wait for another big market drop or settle on 5-6% short term gains and be happy with what you get.

NVDA was 56 bucks and now almost 62 after hours on earnings and guidance crush. Great company that people don't know about because it's not consumer-facing. But they power everything and on cutting edge of AI. Almost doubled this year and much more to go. Don't be afraid of buying a great company like this on a high. It's been the biggest piece in my portfolio for awhile and I am not selling. Market cap is 34 billion but this is a 100+ bil company just in the near future. I'll sell some at $185/share.

FB... FB is going to split soon, that's 10 shares turning into 30 with the same value. Sure, not that exciting, but the caveat is cheaper shares will entice more buyers and the prices should go up.

PMO is a closed end muni bond fund paying 5.4% a month w/ no federal tax. Long term safe hold - treating it like a CD really, with better interest and easier to get your money out if you need it.

DSM also good, tax free. These are SAFE bets with decent divs that don't normally drop and occasionally rise. If you are not opening a retirement account, I would recommend the tax free bonds.

Anyone buy Nvidia back in July and August when recc'd it in the 50's? Over $90 now on absolute blowout earnings report.

I know you'll look at the chart and say how can I get in now? That's what people said at new highs in the 50's in the summer? Find a time to get in and then get in long-term. You need to have this stock in your portfolio. It hits every sweet spot for future trends in AI and auto, etc. Plus they are delivering now. I kinda hate that Cramer jumped on board but he's right that it's the Intel of the next generation. Still only a 47 billion dollar company. 300 billion in 3-5 years. This is a great company with great management in a great space.

I get it, but that was exactly the response when I recommended Nvidia in July. Just keep an eye on it and try to add on any weakness. This isn't a pump and dump company. Nvidia has its tentacles in every sweet spot for emerging tech trends. It is going to eat Intel's lunch. Looking forward to bumping this in 1,2,3 years when NVDA is 400 or 500 a share.

It's tough to buy when a stock is up, but sometimes waiting just makes it worse. Some stocks just don't give you a chance to buy low. You buy it for the reasons stated, good company, good management, good earnings, growth potential. You're not losing your ass with NVDA, even if you get on at 90+.

Still waiting on my FB split, lost a few thousand waiting for it because for some reason they shattered their estimates and the stock tanks because of an off-hand comment that might not even happen. Investors are stupid. Again though, not worried, solid company, it will be a win in the long run.

sounds like he could of made money on a few stocks here.
ete was 11.89 now 16.39 plus 2 divs at .285 a share. That would now be worth 14705
bkep was 5.40 now 6.35 plus 2 divs at.145. That would be worth 12351
                          nvdia would be worth 19496

Nvidia $116 today. Biggest S&P 500 gainer in 2016, by a good margin. Almost doubled just since mid-November earnings report.

If I'm not mistaken, it's gained 10 straight sessions. Gotta be a little pullback at some point, I imagine.

I've been in Nvidia for the last year and a half. I'll take profits in January like a lot of people, so expect a little pullback in the new year. Buy back in February for another run. Great company that will keep going up.
