That is a huge haul for NYY. It's kind of the reverse of what the Cubs did when they traded Samardzija and Hammel for Russell +. Didn't work out for Oakland. It's an all-in bet. If the Cubs win the World Series, then it's a grand slam. If they don't, then it could feel bad in a few years. Of course the Cubs feel like they can churn out hitting prospects, so maybe the sting isn't as bad. Still, a bit surprised they unloaded Torres and McKinney for a rental.Comment -

The Cubs biggest weakness - bullpen - may become of the bigger strengths. Chapman, Rondon, Strop, Nathan, Montgomery, Wood. No more Richard, Cahill, Grimm, etc. garbage. Cubs have 10 blown saves. But I don't think that's really the way to look at it. Rondon is not a bad closer at all, just like Miller in NY, but the Cubs didn't have a lockdown lefty and he just thickens the bullpen that much. So they can go Rondon in the 8th if they want to.
