Oh Mexico is a shiiit hole today no doubt.. I stopped going to places like TJ, Cabo, Mazalan, Cancun years ago..

I use to jump the border in San Diego 15 years ago to visit a secure hotel and casino for large cash sports betting. Party in Tijuana and what not.. Luckily I didn't get jacked back in the day carrying around 1000's, today I wouldn't try it..

Walking in wasn't the problem because it was daylight but at the end of the night and walking out it got sketchy.. People in the casino see you cashing out and leaving..

I was always on high alert when leaving.. One time there were a couple of very shady looking Mexicans that followed me out of the casino but I saw them and I immediately circled back into the casino.. They were absolutely following my every move and up to something...Waited another hour in the casino then left again and the coast was clear....

Partying in TJ they pick your pockets so I never carried large amounts of cash with me then.. Hid it in my car usually if I was cash in pocket...
