Golfers will soon have the option to fly across a course instead of walk.
U.S. professional golfer Bubba Watson displayed his experimental golf cart aircraft on CNBC's "Squawk Alley" on Tuesday.
He said often times golf gets boring, so he is trying "to create something new" and "more innovative" to add excitement to the game.
"Even if people don't use it, there are going to be people noticing it, seeing it, and they might go, 'You know what, golf is actually fun to be around so why not play it,'" Watson told CNBC.
The aircraft is capable of climbing to an altitude of 3,000 feet and can reach speeds of 50 mph, he said.
This isn't the first time Watson has transformed course transportation. In 2013, he spoke with CNBC about his new hovercraft golf cart, capable of driving over water and sand traps.
Watson said although there are rumors about the price of the jet pack, it is likely to be "pricey." His hovercraft went for about $20,000 without customization upon its reveal.
He notes that the golf cart will be available to consumers in December of this year "give or take."
"The company is out of New Zealand, and it'll probably be out there first," he said.
