the ar- stands for armalite. (sp) The manufacturer of the guns. You were shown a kit to make it fully automatic. An automatic rifle is an assault rifle. Also there is a spring with quicker recoil that can give you the ability to shoot as a faster rate. Also when you seen the father shoot that rifle as opposed to the son. If your wrist is strong enough than you can shoot it as an automatic. As someone who has shot an ak many times just stating facts.

Both though are restrictions as to what type you can own...

Its actually not that difficult to own a gun here though you do have to have genuine reason for wanting to do so ie saying it makes you feel safe is not a valid reason...

Also, if you want a handgun then there are strict guidelines you have to meet. Mandatory police checks, a 30 day cooling off period and mandatory training are all required before you can acquire even a low powered handgun...

If you live on a farm then that is reason to be able to own a semi automatic shotgun or a .22 but cartridge sizes are limited to 5 for the shotgun and 10 shots for the .22

It's separated into several categories Chico. I'll quickly go over them briefly.

Category A is .22s, shotguns and air rifles. That’s the easiest license to obtain. No semiautomatics are allowed.

Category B is for center fire rifles. You have to provide a reason for why you need a more powerful gun ie shooting feral pigs and foxes; that’s a valid reason. Again, no semiautomatics.

Category C is available only to farmers; they can own a semiautomatic shotgun or .22 but the cartridges are limited to five shots for the shotgun and 10 shots for the .22.

Category D, for semiautomatic guns and rifles, is only for professional shooters: you have to have a registered business and prove that you are earning an income through shooting.

An H license is for handguns. If you want to buy a pistol in Australia you’ve got to be a member of a target pistol club. You’ve got to do a minimum of eight competition shoots per year to keep your license. If you don’t, you lose it.

Category G is for collectors. For that you’ve got to attend at least one meeting per year.

Mike Gonidakis, a John Kasich delegate and president of Ohio Right to Life, said Cruz "came across very small and petty. He is acting like a child who lost and took his ball and went home.”
“I’m disappointed he didn’t further embrace the nominee,” Hamilton County Republican Party Chairman Alex Triantafilou said. “It’s time to unite this party. Those on the sidelines biding time for 2020 are dead wrong. I love Ted Cruz, but he needs to get with the party now.”

So who’s to say the campaign wouldn’t create a fall guy to protect Trump’s wife, Melania? The Internet thinks there’s a conspiracy happening right before our eyes.
