I didn't read the link ,but if it's a link that's a bet for Papi to hit a HR in the All-Star Game, I wouldn't think that it beyond the realm of possibility. He's as clutch as it get's and like a Jeter that will hit a HR on his 3000th hit, Ortiz is that kind of player, if not more. Not a bad bet.

I'm sure Big PEDy will jab a needle in his ass for this one.

I honestly wouldn't be surprised one single bit. I already put a couple of hundred on it

Remember jeter and his base hit double in his last season all star game? That fccker grooved the pitch right down the middle. So fccking scripted.

Ortiz is gonna get some grooved pitches too. Too many fairy tale endings in sports these past few years.

Sorry, but I have to take a chance at this.

It seems a little too easy though. Jose Fernandez and I'm assuming every pitcher out there is all getting the same directive from their teammates, manager, fans, etc: let Ortiz hit a HR. The payout is attractive but if the chances of hitting one is so high at this point, why even offer the payout when books aren't looking to win any particular bet just to win juice? I don't know. I want to bet this because it seems so easy but that is the same reason that I look at it with caution.

                  Good luck!

He hits one home run every 13 at bats, he'll get 2 at bats... odds aren't as bad as I thought

Derek Jeter nailed a grooved pitch in his last All-Star game. Wouldnt surprise me if Ortiz got a cupcake to hit.

Excellent point. I think something similar happened to Kobe's last game. (can't remember if it was his last game or last home game). It seems the opponent (also can't remember) employed the swiss cheese defense and Kobe (who'd been shootin about 35% all year) exploded for about 63.

Too many fairy tale endings in sports. Peyton the notorious choker rides off into the sunset with a superbowl and breaking Brett Favre's win record by 1 win in the process ( a lot of shady calls in that superbowl). Russell Wilson gets told to throw a slant route in the endzone instead of handing it off to Marshawn on the 1 fccking yard line on SECOND DOWN. Lebron finally gets Cleveland a trophy. Jeter's grooved pitch, Kobe's 60 points in his very last game. Ray Lewis rides off into the sunset with a superbowl when announcing his retirement.

                                All scripted bullshyt.

This prop may or not hit, but with all of the fairy tale bullshit lately, you just have to play it.
