    I am unsure...i THINK so, but has he done enough with the bat?

      if being one of the top fielders at a position of an era is enough I sure hope Omar Vizquel gets in

            I think he needs to get to 2,000 hits to be an absolute lock, which he should be able to do over the next 3 or 4 seasons before he retires. He's got 8 consecutive Gold Gloves, 4 platinum gloves and 2 defensive player of the year awards, also been to 7 consecutive AS games as a catcher. He's won a Silver Slugger, hit over .300 for a season a few times and finished top 4 in MVP twice. He's first among active catchers in caught stealing percentage and has never had a season where he was worse than 3rd in that category. Nobody runs on him. That's pretty damn impressive for a catcher, which is traditionally the least spectacular position with the least flashy stats.
