A new poll released from JMC Analytics in Florida (full pdf below) shows Donald Trump leading Hillary Clinton 47% to 42%, and leading with Hispanic voters 49% to 36%.


Some (particularly MSM) pundits will find these results quite shocking – however, we do not. We’ve repeatedly pointed out that Latino voters in Florida are very familiar with strong Patrone’ male figures within their family. Trump represents a very familiar cultural voice for them.
This was abundantly evident in the primary race where Donald Trump won every county within Florida by exceptionally wide margins.

Its all water cooler talk at this point, and honestly, its hard to draw strong conclusions when the sample size is .0002% of the total voting population, but the stats are somewhat interesting nonetheless.

I personally think the biggest tell-tell stat is that in 2008 Obama garnered 69,000,000 votes, in 2012 it was 66,000,000 votes, and Hillary only was able to squeeze out 60,000,000 votes, or roughly 10-15% less than Obama.

Both John McCain and Mit Romney received more votes than Trump. In fact, you have to go back to 2004 to John Kerry before you find a candidate that disn't get more votes than Trump, and It was a razor thin difference.

I hope you don't don't take this post as me being a poor sport, I've accepted the reaults and was prepared for it. Congrats to you, the gop and everyone that was so fed up with the status quo that they rioted and protested in the voting booths.

Im merely pointing out what I think is the obvious and has been echoed many times by both liberals and conservatives, Neither candidate was popular and it showed in the final tallies. It wasn't the minoritoes that decided this election as much as it was the Dems that didn't like their candidate and stayed home as opposed to voting.

With that said, we move forward and I can only hope my party is able to field a stronger candidate in 2020
