Salary filler. Except for Butler, with a bargain contract, Bulls have almost nothing on the books after the next 2 seasons. With a 2-year dea he can't hurt the Bulls. Crap bench players are getting more than $28 million, so in that sense he's a bargain.

All things considered, the Bulls might very well be better than last season. Rondo, Butler, Valentine, McDermott, Mirotic, Gibson, Lopez, Portis. We'll see if Hoiberg can coach. If he can, they could be a borderline playoff team, again.
