Remember when a few Cubs fans believed he was as good as Kershaw?

That whole Cubs team is coming back down to earth. They'll make the playoffs but I don't think they're as invincible as they looked early on. They need to make a move before the trade deadline for a bullpen guy or two in my opinion. It's a long long season.

Herniated disc with an uncertain time table of return is a pretty big one.

Why won't the Cubs give him huge extension? Do they know something we don't?

              PED's?
              Injuries??

Not according to this ESPN report.

                Sounds pretty straight forward.

As usual, Clayton Kershaw is not thrilled to be on the Dodgers' disabled list, and while his back feels better after a shot, a return date is unclear.

Honestly, I expect him back within 5-6 weeks and to your point...no Arrieta couldn't sniff Kershaws 1st half. Nobody could. Herniated discs can go south in a hurry. They have to correct the problem then correct what caused it...whatever that may be. Could even be his delivery. If that's the case then you open up a can of worms. Point is, rest of the season, he's no lock to be better than Arrieta.

Many fantasy team certainly needs him...and I like watching him pitch. Hopefully it's just a short stint.

Because they have leverage. Back when they were talking about a contract why would you give him market price? Still have him under contract for a year and a half.

I'm just wondering... where is the man's balls in that ESPN body issue?

                          Does he have any?
