Feeling this way lately I'm not in financial strain hell I have a pretty well loaded account...it's the distraction on life the time spent capping the ups and downs sometimes you ever feel like after a bad day your energy is just drained? Hard enough I work full time 60-70 hours plus a week and have family 2 kids...feel I'm distracted to much glued to phone or always have a game on in background drained feeling like cashing out going on vacation and either leaving for good if I can or just taking a break.... 🙁
Ever feel like giving it up?

#3I felt exactly like that for sports and poker. I gravitated from sports to poker about 5 years ago and made my way up to playing the largest stakes offered locally after a couple years. I was a consistently winning player but the swings killed me. I was between jobs by choice and played poker as my only income for 9 months. I was able to pay all my bills without touching my starting bankroll (30 buy ins) but it was the most stressful time of my life. I was totally consumed by it and it was an unhealthy lifestyle. I returned to the workforce and have been happy ever since. I still play, but mostly on traveling trips. I miss the days of carrying around 5k like it was nothing and losing or winning that in a night but I'd never go back to it.Comment -

#4I can tell by the this post alone that you are sharper then most.
Take it from me a break is always a good thing... are you smart enough and strong enough to do it?
Not a break for a day.... minimum a month come back fresh and clear headed spend
a little more time with the kids leave the score board behind.Comment -

#7Hard to give someone advice in a situation like this because there are so many variables... and we all have different "life" issues that puts more pressure on us. Doesn't make wagering fun.
When I have a bad run or things just aren't going up to "my expectations" I take a look around and I'm thankful for the things I have. I try to get things done around the house... go to the gym... basically find something to do that I'm good at. Wagering will always be here... and you have to remember that. I never won anything in life by forcing things... just like forcing a wager.... you never win.
Let it come to you. It will be back.

#17Take the month off. You might realize all you lost gambling besides money. Oh thats right everyone wins. Lol. Still you take that month off and it might be easier than you think to take forever off.Comment -
