#5Yeah, I'll probably go with the guy who has the best era of all time in the world series at .25 as opposed to the choke artist who will never even make a WS in his lifetime. You want Kershaw in a meaningless game in July, and Bumgarner when you are actually trying to win something.Comment -

All that really matters... 2-6, 4.59 ERA vs 7-3 (4-0 WS), 2.14 ERAComment -

#8this is EXACTLY what i was going to say... im a big fan of both pitchers, but when the postseason is what really matters, you HAVE to choose Bummy because of it... Reg season = kershaw. Reg season + playoffs = Bummy.. And its not even close.Originally posted by SteveKerrsJunkYeah, I'll probably go with the guy who has the best era of all time in the world series at .25 as opposed to the choke artist who will never even make a WS in his lifetime. #11If the Dodgers had any kind of a bullpen the last few years this would not be a discussion. Teams win championships. Yes he had a great run in 14 but that team was solid.Originally posted by SteveKerrsJunkYeah, I'll probably go with the guy who has the best era of all time in the world series at .25 as opposed to the choke artist who will never even make a WS in his lifetime. #12Dude has a .25 era in the WS. A great run, cmon now dude..he single-handedly won game 7 for the Giants when he took over for Jeremy or whoever that was in the 3rd inning.Originally posted by mohye1980If the Dodgers had any kind of a bullpen the last few years this would not be a discussion. Kershaw has had 13 playoff starts, he has given up 8 ER, 7 ER, and 5 ER in 3 of those games. But yeah, I'm sure if they had a bullpen they would've won those games................Comment -

#13I dont get what you are trying to say??? Kershaws postseason stats are GARBAGE regardless if they had the best bullpen in the league behind him, it doesnt make a difference.. Whats your point here?Originally posted by mohye1980If the Dodgers had any kind of a bullpen the last few years this would not be a discussion. Teams win championships. #14This says it all, how many Cy Young winners do you know that have such pitiful numbers in the playoffs...2-6 with a 4.59, any pitcher in the league could put up those garbage stats.Originally posted by TheKLBhttp://www.baseball-reference.com/pl...l01&t=p&post=1

#22Madbum was created in a lab or something. As an NC native myself perhaps I should be tested. There is no debate that I'd take madbum game 7 but Kershaw is the only human choice and I like that about him. He may yet get a ring, or he may not but I'll always regard him as one of the greats.Comment
