#5All those have actually had decent guys on their team. Melo gets shit on when he hasn't ever had another superstar on his team. Unless you want to count AI, Kidd, or Billups past their prime. Yet, he took Denver to the WCF with Billups, Nene, Kenyon Martin, and Dahntay Jones starting. Kleiza, and Birdman off the bench. JR came off the bench too, oh baby. Though now he has matured into a good player and person, respect to him. The Cavs won with no thanks to Love, and I didn't see him even make the playoffs in Minny but Melo is the terrible one.Comment -

#8Probably not. Same with Rose, Durant, Westbrook, Harden, Howard, Griffin, Cousins, George. Though when the cap increases these guys can start going the LeBron route and joining up. But, the Spurs are loaded even when the original big 3 retires and they will add more. GS is gonna be good for years. They may lose a couple guys, but will add replacements just as good. LeBron will be fine in Cleveland or wherever he wants to go and GM his own team. Not much parity right now. These guys have to pick a place and come together with at least three of them nowadays. The draft is pointless except when you snag a Kawhi. The top picks don't even do shit anymore it seems.Comment -

#10Minny has done really well in the draft, and getting Wiggins for Love. Would love to see them become a perennial playoff team. If they add another good pick this year, the future is bright. Too bad they took Rubio and Flynn over Curry.Comment -

Carmelo really hasn't played with anyone, ever.
With that said, Lebron would have won multiple championships with those same teams.Comment -

#33Carmelo Anthony made history just days ago by capturing his third Olympic gold medal at Rio 2016, but according to Jim Boeheim that success won't follow him to the NBA.
"He's unlikely to win an NBA title," said the USA basketball assistant coach to Mike Waters of Syracuse.com. "He's never been on a team that even had a remote chance of winning an NBA title. As a player, all you can do is try to make your team better and every team he's been on he's made them a lot better. It's obvious. You look back on your total basketball experience and he had a great high school team, he won the NCAA championship and he's won three gold medals in the Olympics. That's a pretty good resume."

It's obvious. You look back on your total basketball experience and he had a great high school team, he won the NCAA championship and he's won three gold medals in the Olympics. That's a pretty good resume."Boeheim has been associated with Anthony at the highest points of his career, serving as assistant coach on all three of the gold medal-winning teams and as his head coach at Syracuse. The legendary bench boss was quick to heap praise upon his former pupil's performance at Rio 2016."Carmelo was the unquestioned leader of the this team," Boeheim said. "I though he did a great job."Anthony announced following the Olympics that he was retiring from USA Basketball, so he won't be around in four years at Tokyo 2020. Boeheim was non-committal about his future with the program, but raved about what a positive experience it was in Brazil."It was a great summer experience to be back with Carmelo," Boeheim said. "He's just such a great kid. He's not a kid anymore, but to me he is."It appears Las Vegas oddsmakers agree with Boeheim's assertion that Anthony's New York Knicks are unlikely to win the NBA title. In their latest future odds, Bovada has the club listed at +6600 to capture the Larry O'Brien Trophy.Comment -

#35Time for Carmelo Anthony to pass torch to Kristaps Porzingis may come sooner than you think
Carmelo Anthony’s very public slam of Slam Magazine’s player rankings was mostly harmless fun. If you spend any time around Melo you know that he has tremendous pride in his game and his standing in the NBA.
There’s no shame being ranked 15th. It’s a more-than-reasonable spot for a player whose team has missed the playoffs for three straight years. Heck, Draymond Green was ranked 16th and he’s been to back-to-back NBA Finals and won a title.
The rankings are meant to spark debate and Slam Magazine should send Carmelo a gift basket for all the free publicity he generated.
But Carmelo’s reaction is noteworthy since there will come a day — maybe sooner than later — when the Knicks make the inevitable shift toward Kristaps Porzingis.
