What the flying Fukk is it with this forum and almost daily having to make comparisons and declarations regarding past versus present players???? It is all fodder.
Any negative statement regarding Magic`s value is ridiculous.
There has never been a team assembled where he wouldn`t be a starter and a captain.
Larry, and I am a Boston/Celtic fan/loyalist, is open to debate at the 3-4.

Magic and Bird would be on again, off again All Stars today; LeBron is the best ever and has been for at least five years.

Lebron couldn't carry their shoes let alone be allowed to shine them. Do basketball shoes need shining?

It's really hard to even imagine Larry Bird guarding someone like Lebron James.
Look at the size differential.
It would be like Shawn Bradley trying to guard Shaquille O'Neal.
Just too dominant.

Bird would out shoot LeBron 99 times out of 100. LeBrons combination of size and athleticism is unmatched by anybody ever. How many of his points come within 5 feet of the rim? If he'd plays like he does now back in the 80s, LeBron woulda fouled out every game too.

Lebron best ever.
what he does to a team.
Lebron 61 Wins in Cleveland before The Decision.
Cavaliers following year. 19 WINS. from 61 to 19 in one year.
2008-09 CLEVELAND CAVALIERS 66-16 (LEBRON)
2009-10 CLEVELAND CAVALIERS 61-21 (LEBRON) 2010-11 CLEVELAND CAVALIERS 19-63 2011-12 CLEVELAND CAVALIERS 21-45 (lockout) 2012-13 CLEVELAND CAVALIERS 24-58 2013-14 CLEVELAND CAVALIERS 33-49 2014-15 CLEVELAND CAVALIERS 53-29 (LEBRON/Finals)
2014-15 CLEVELAND CAVALIERS 57-25 (LEBRON/Finals)
when Jordan left the Bulls. they won 55 GAMES without him, following year.
An interesting argument some have raised in response is that as great as Jordan was, his supporting cast was good enough that he didn't really need to "call for help" -- the Bulls actually won 55 games the year after he retired. Think about that: Chicago won 57 games in 1993, lost the greatest player ever (in the middle of his prime), and they declined by all of two wins the following season.

I would have enjoyed watching Rodman guard Lebron and I do think Pippen and Jordan could guard Curry & Thompson.
So, the Bulls could have beat Cleveland or Golden State - take your pick because of their ability to match up on defense.
Lakers and Celtics beat Lebron but I am not so sure they would have matched up against GSW?
