Top catching prospect in minor leagues. Led PCL last season hitting .335 or so. Hitting .354 this season, coming up with a 20-game hit streak. Reputed to be strong defensively as well. Montero a real weakness too, he's become pretty bad all around. Who knows if they'll win, every year is a crapshoot, but it's definitely not the "same story." The pitching has been markedly better than in the past. Cubs starters on historic pace. Never seen to win just doesn't even make sense. This year is basically the start of this story. Last year was even a year too soon. Won't be heartbreaking this season. Cubs fans know patience. But if they don't win it in the next 5 seasons with this core, then yes, that would be heartbreaking for Cubs fans. Waited 108 years, what's a few more if that's what it takes.
