    Longest MLB AB?
Just watched the 18 pitch AB to Alex Cora on YouTube. Is that the longest? Google gave multiple answers since it wasn't tracked.

There was a longer AB but it ended in a strikeout. Nothing as amazing as the Alex Cora footage, his is like a movie.

I believe Shinjo had one of about 22, don't remember exactly the number or against which team. It was when he played for the Giants.

There may have been earlier at-bats that extended beyond the 20 pitch record, but pitch counts were not kept by statisticians before 1980. Luke Appling is unofficially credited with a 24-pitch at-bat in 1940. In 2012, Miguel Cabrera of the Detroit Tigers had an at-bat last roughly 9 minutes due to a complaint over the placement of batter's box. The grounds crew were forced to re-chalk the box before he could finish.

I also remember a 22 pitch at bat a few years ago... but I don't know what the record is?

but 7-8 pitches to big sloppy could gojust as long with him stepping out and spitting on himself, adjusting etc

I once saw Seaweed foul off 26 pitches in a slow-pitch softball game, on the 27th pitch he hit it 600 feet.

                      I swear that actually happened.

                      Promise.

In my league, foul with 2 strikes is out.
