I think they should make a small section of each city dedicated to the homeless, fence it all off, lock it up and throw away the key..

#115Originally posted by LeahMicheleRecently it made headlines when a homeless woman took her 2 minor children into the jungle to buy/steal drugs and the children ended up being killed. ( True Story ).
The King County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the dead Wednesday as James Q. Tran, 33, and Jeannine L. Zapata, 45. Both died of multiple gunshot wounds, the medical examiner said.Comment -

#117Originally posted by CanuckGalso i drink quite a bit but the play is to go to the breweries here (tons here) and fill up growlers. I also have a few friends who work at Steamworks brewery and they supply me with free flats. The one thing I find expensive here is good tequila.but man Vancouver with those Persians and Chinese foreign investors, real estate is crazy. I stayed there for 10 days and I loved it it. But every single native Vancouver people hate living there because of foreign investors have been driving the market crazy.

#120Originally posted by TridentTwo people were recently killed there but your version of the story is complete BS.
The boys’ tent lay underneath a highway overpass, as does The Jungle. And all three of the teens were supposed to be in state protective custody when the shooting took place.
“The lawlessness of The Jungle created the environment for this mass shooting,” King County Prosecuting Attorney Dan Satterberg said during a Thursday press conference, according to Fox 13.
According to police, the boys were already being investigated in connection with previous robberies and another fatal shooting in October when they set off to collect their mother’s debt.
On their mother’s 37th birthday, the older boys allegedly told their mother that they were planning to do a “lick,” or robbery, on a drug dealer known as Phats,
Their mother also has a criminal history including identity theft and shoplifting from a Goodwill store, according to the Associated Press. She completed drug court in 2008 after an arrest four years earlier for selling crack cocaine, the Times reported
So Mommy sold drugs to some people living in the jungle who fked her out of the money, then she allowed her sons ( ages 13,16 and 17) to leave their tent underneath a highway overpass to go into the jungle and kill 2 people and injure 3 others while trying to collect mommy’s drug money.
Shit sounds so much better now.

#126Philly has professional homeless people. They stand at red lights and pan handle. Some in decent clothes and good shoes, expecting dollars from random cars. I don't even look at them. One guy in front of Sugar House casino had a sign that said, "Give me a dollar, get lucky". Like giving some hoodlum a buck increase your odds at the card table. I give them credit, at least they have an angleComment -

Same thing I was thinking when I read post #36. It’s always “throw more money at it”, its always “you are handing them enough money”. The liberal cities throw the most money at the problem and end up with the worst results. Oftentimes, throwing more money at it is not the solution to the problem, it is the problem.

My least favorite thing is the panhandlers who use their kids as props for sympathy. I see it everywhere, they have signs that say "single mother/father, homeless, hungry..." with their kid with them. One time it was pouring out rain and cold and yet these fuckers were still out there getting drenched in the cold with their kid. I guess they view that as the optimal time to get the most money from sympathy.Comment -

And as you know, NY and LA are much much larger cities than Seattle, so for its size Seattle has the worst problem. Many people have named San Fransisco as having a huge homeless population, but according to ranker Seattle has double the homeless population despite having a smaller overall population so if SF is bad that just shows you how bad Seattle is.

#132I met up with a friend who used to live in Seattle for a couple of years, and he confirmed everything you all are saying.
He also said that everyone dumps anything and everything into the Puget Sound. I was looking at these sweet Kayaking tours there. The ads made it look really clean!Comment
