                  fed's deals with nike, rolex and others + advertisements far surpasses his annual earnings
                  well, he does love the game and still a contender on grass and hard but that remains to be seen now after his injuries this year

                      Injuries could always get in the way. Hopefully recent trends are the exception and not the norm.

                      Remember, this guy made 2 Slam finals last year, and would have won them if it weren't for Djokovic. Not to mention he WON 6 events...

                          He had arthroscopy a few months back. Apparently today's below par performance is not because of the knee but his back. According to his former coach, his back problems are on and off in the last few years. He tried not to strain himself, hence the defeat... cost me a small fortune though, sensible thing for everyone would have been Federer to withdraw. Yesterday's win has been a bit misleading as to the full extent of his fitness
