He's been pitching incredibly well this year so far and playing his old club tonight. I am looking for a great game from him tonight. I see a 5-2 detroit win.

Jordan Zimmermann allowed three runs on seven hits, walking one and striking out two over eight innings of a 5-1 loss to Texas on Friday night.
Zimmermann (5-1) was named Pitcher of the Month in the American League for April and has been outstanding so far this year, but he ran into an opponent as stingy as he has been with runs in Cole Hamels. While still a quality start, the loss saw his ERA rise to a still microscopic 1.10 on the year. He'll trying to get back in the win column on the road against the Nationals.

Zimmermann</player> was named the American League Pitcher of the Month for April after going 5-0 with a 0.55 ERA in five starts for the <team idref="306">Tigers</team>. He struck out 23 in 33 innings.</p>He's the first Tigers pitcher to earn the award since Justin Verlander won it in September 2012. Zimmermann's off to a fantastic start in Detroit after leaving the only franchise he'd ever known, although if we can pick a nit, it'd be nice to see him miss a few more bats.
