And no special ways to end game quicker. Its for the stanely cup. No short cuts. On a side note b4. The trip ot. A lot of money coming in on sj. Really moving the line hard i got nash at + money

Yeah. Thats why these games go so deep in ot. Its the keepers.

When it comes down to it, it's entertainment afterall. Like movies and music, people have different tastes.

I was amazed at the level of energy these players continued to have. Pizza's in the dressing rooms between OT periods. Literally dozens of great scoring chances in OT. Back and forth action. Fans standing and cheering for hours and loving every minute of it. NOT one person left. Even the announcers were going nuts and saying how incredible this was.

It was an amazing game. A classic. Sharks were definitely the better team throughout the entire OT but the Preds did it. WOW.

Best of the best playing in Hockey now,... anyone who can't appreciate the skill, endurance and competitiveness of last night's game is sleepwalking thru life.... INCREDIBLE game with gutsy call by ref to legitimately wave off OT goal due to Goaltender interference. If you were at that game, experience of a lifetime.

Wish the NHL would go back 1 point tie in regular season OT

And.... if you lose in OT you get NOTHING.

Much easier to cap NHL games back to the old point system.

I like them keeping the OT but ditching the 1 point to the losers, makes no sense to reward the team that loses and then it stops teams from playing to not-lose instead of playing to win.

I personally believe when the NHL created this new point system years ago.... Vegas had a say in it. I'm sure I'll get bashed by many posters for this... but back in the day... there were several cancelled/pushed wagers because of the OT Tie. But to me... that's GREAT HOCKEY! Old style! Some teams played ultra conservative... and some teams always went for the win... but to me.... it was easier to cap. I actually made a few bucks wagering the NHL 16 years ago. But, with this point system.... something has to be done about it. Something different.

I was a BIG HOCKEY FAN growing up.... but it doesn't excite me anymore. To each their own... I guess?

Islanders let a soft goal. Wouldn't be surprised if players betting the tie in 3 way betting. It's a big abnormality having most games go to OT. NHL should investigate.

Completely different, because that's a 3 step drop comparing to a two step drop, with OT in Nhl already 4 on 4.

its actually 3 on 3 in NHL OT in regular season now. Has been all season. Not 4 on 4. Even the All-Star game this year was 3 on 3 the entire time. I liked it.

my biggest argument is ... I love it the way it is. No need to change it. I am not against rule changes. There have been many great adaptations of the game over the years that have improved the game. The suspense of not knowing how long it can go in OT in the playoffs is what's appealing. I guess it depends on your taste.
