Ballpark conditions not optimal. Staying away. Maybe a parley with the cubbies on some plays.

I'd like to attend that meeting. What's the dispute?

I'm doing a martingale thing with them. Glad they won last night because I just don't want to take them at that price. Laying off.

                What is more likely tonight?
                a) Cubs lose, or
                b) Arrieta throws a no-hitter

Anyone know the MLB record for a team winning consecutive regular season starts of a starting pitcher? (not the pitcher getting a W, but the team winning each start)

Let me look at the script and get back to you. If you know the script you don't need to be sharp to win a bet.

I believe Roger Clemens had a 21 straight start streak where the team won

                                Fading Arrieta tonight.

His main catcher will not be catching him tonight for the first time in forever. People underestimate how important the combo is. Catcher knows the pitchers strengths and knows how to get most out of pitcher.

Arrieta may struggle tonight and give up more hits than usual

You mean the first time since his last start (a no-hitter)? Jake's numbers with Ross are actually better. Ross has no problem catching Arrieta. No problem at all.

Biggest issue would be weather - some rain. Delays can always cause issues for starters.

20-1 and 0.86 ERA in past 24 starts.. I'm not so sure a loss is more likely than a no-hitter

Catcher not an issue. The pitcher dictates the pitch sequence. Catcher's job is to catch the pitch and shut the fukk up.

The Cubs are 26-2 in games Arrieta has started since last July (including playoffs). Normally I don't believe in betting such large moneylines but if you did you'd be WAAAAY up, regardless of what the MLs were.

Oh, and of those 26 wins only 2 of them have been one run games. So if you took the RL on each you'd be making an even bigger killing.

Can't really call anyone who bets on Arrieta a square unless you're an idiot. Don't try to get cute or overthink it, bet on Arrieta until he loses a few; if you don't like the ML then take the RL or an alt RL with CHC -1 so it's just a push if they only win by a run.
