For those who want a source:

Just days after the Carolina Panthers rescinded their non-exclusive franchise tag on Norman, the All-Pro cornerback agreed to a deal with the Washington Redskins on Friday.

Hail to my redskins fukkers!.......we needed a shut down corner and/or elite corner and just hit the jackpot with Josh Norman...good move...a chain is only as strong as its weakest link and we just got rid of ours!.......overpaid, yes...but well worth it because there were several other suitors...now to get a stud LB and DE, and our defense will be vastly improved from last year!

                    Great move for them

Might take a shot on them in a future after I see their team with the draft

Could be, he won't have the luxury of playing behind an elite front seven in DC. Can't really blame Carolina for letting him walk at that price

Good move for Falcons. No one can stop Julio now in NFC South.

The Josh Norman deal raises big 2017 roster questions

CSN Mid-Atlantic's Rich Tandler had some interest takes on what it might mean for the Redskins’ ability to re-sign some of their own in 2017.

He started with the offensive side of the ball.

“I think that the deal increases the likelihood that the Redskins will draft a wide receiver early,” said Tandler. “They had the 2017 cap room to be able to re-sign one or both of Pierre Garcon and DeSean Jackson. Now they may have to choose to let both of them go. It generally takes a season for a receiver to become productive. If both of their starters are going to be departing McCloughan may want to get a head start on finding their replacements.

“By making this deal the Redskins are gambling that they will be able to get Kirk Cousins under contract this year or at least prior to the start of the 2017 league year. If they need to franchise tag him again it will cost $24 million. With Norman set to carry a $20 million cap hit, that would mean that two players would be taking up 26 percent of a cap that should be around $165 million.”

There’s also the need to re-sign tight end Jordan Reed, but the impacts go well-beyond offense.

Defensive end Chris Baker and outside linebacker Junior Galette will also be free agents after the 2016 season, leaving quite the task for general manager Scot McCloughan.

                              KLC,
that's all a bunch of gobbiltygunk!...every team goes through that...that's what GM's and accountants are for...the Skins will restructure some contracts and make the necessary adjustments to stay under the salary cap...Bruce Allen is a guru when it comes to number crunching (accountant) and Scot McCloughan is the personal talent evaluator (GM)...if they want certain player(s) on the team, rest assured they will find a way to keep them...

Now we'll get to see Norman and Odell go at it 2 times next year.
