Steph Curry's injury is part of the NBA Playoffs Script this year
To make Cleveland's eventual win over Golden State more plausible and easier to pull off, or have Golden State lose before the finals to make Cleveland's NBA finals opponent easier.

Yes, your 100 correct. His "ankle-injury" will be the narrative of the playoffs.

League is becoming worse than WWE.

Easy to say after it happens. He is probably fine.

Did you see when he went out with the ankle? He was just walking up the court and started hobbling out of nowhere. It really looked scripted/fake but I know he's had history with his ankles.

The NBA sure knows how to create drama. You have to give them credit for creating the soap opera.

The thunder blowout in game 3 is part of the NBA script this year. The raptors win in game 3 is all part of the NBA script this year. The Jake arrietta no hitter is all part of the nba script this year. Batman v. Superman sucking is all part of the NBA script this year.

so, same script (Love + Irving OUT) but reversed... other team goes down...

then next year both healthy for the ultimate showdown

Think "ultimate showdown" selling it pretty hard. Been very 1 sided with Gsw waxing that overrated ass when both healthy. Agree with OP here the storyline has been set and carpet rolled out to finally get that loser city a ring so Bron might stay.

Yes, everything in the NBA is scripted - scores, injuries, player FG percentages, airballs, Dwight Howard's and DeAndre Jordan's freethrows, etc. Everything! Even the amount of money betted on NBA games is scripted!

When the Hawks eliminate Cleveland they will make history.

He's too popular. If someone goes down for the Warriors, it'll be Thomson or Iggie, someone who is essential but not getting a lot of press. Not Curry.

I think he sat this one game out to drop the line on the Rockets ML, but since he's back in, the Warriors are a go.

That's how I read the script.
