Youre mostly correct, when I started long ago the typical sports fan logic had me losing money, watched sports all my life like many here, but what we didnt do pre-gambling is remember how many points teams won or lost by or even the scores of games or how close or far apart the scores were. We didnt think about situations or anything so when we start gambling and we see say a team like the 2011 Lakers play Sacramento and see Lakers laying 4.5 we think surely theyll win by more than 4 and no doubt theyll win, well maybe 40% of the time they covered, 20% the time they lost, 25% of the time they won and didnt cover. Initially losing games like this got me to broaden my view and start taking this thing more seriously.
