its a 20~ year old league, theres not much of a list to make. donovan grew with the league and had success at all levels, and opted to play in the mls the majority of his career instead of leaving to play in europe. you can pretty much make any list based on different arguments, but theres only 1 with the history and success of donovan.

Killer gets it...Pavy yanking people's cranks. Howard's been in England for years and will show up in Colorado this Summer. The MLS is a retirement league where old relics go to die and still collect a check....ie Kaka, Pirlo, Gerrard, Lampard, Henry, etc.

Big names for sure, but I don't see how a couple years in the league beats out some of the experience and fantastic performances from guys like Cobi Jones, Dwayne De Rosario, Jeff Cunningham etc
