I don't watch golf much.... I'll watch the major tourneys here and there.... but...

This Spieth guy... seems so superstitious. Always wipes one hand with a towel... never both. Takes more timeouts than Van Gundy with the Pistons.

I understand golf is around 100% mental sport.... but man... talk some confidence in yourself... everything he said on the TV Mics... kept questioning every shot. Damn.

Golf is not 100% mental, it's probably not even 50% mental. It's 75% muscle memory, 20% strength and 5% mental.

I was a bowler in my youth years.... I would imagine bowling and golf are practically the same.

1. You must hit your mark or angle. Golf/Bowling the same. You can categorize this as "mechanics"....

2. Someone gets hot... gets a string of strikes.... or in golf... someone gets hot... string of birdies. Puts pressure on you mentally.

I'm just saying.... you have to be "mentally" tough. Golf swing... is all mechanics. Taking your steps in bowling/arm swing.... all mechanics.

IMO it's all mental.

I just wonder why these golfers get so INTO IT MENTALLY.... like just take a deep breath.... ok you fukked up your shot.... come back with your BASICS next hole. Why try to overcome your errors in 2-3 shots? Then you fuk up your next shot. I don't believe it's muscle memory... it's all in your head.

Spieth... just like most golfers just need to give yourself a pep talk... get some confidence in the right direction.

There's just no reason to have a fuk up like that. You're a professional. Making mistakes like that make you look like an amature.

You could see this coming way back on Friday. For every two good shots, he hit three that were mediocre or worse.

I hope Spieth doesn't ever see the video of his shot at the 12th after he took his drop; that is horrifying.
