Another guy that earns a lot of money and he struggles at the free throw line i think he averages only 60 percent success rate which is really poor for one of your main players on the team.
Dwight Howard

#3It has always blown my mind that people can play professional basketball and not be able to make a free throw or at least come close.

#9Some of these big guys need to swallow their pride, and learn how to shoot free throws granny style. I bet their percentages would go up at least 20%.Comment -

#10Free throws are a repetitive thing. No defender, same distance , etc , etc. What blows my mind is how he made one last night (nicely) and then the second was 18" off. I was out years ago but about 10-15 years from playing competitively and we were at a sports bar with FT hoop/net. They broke my balls until I made 13 straight. I could go out now and shoot better than 10% of the NBA. Pathetic.Comment -

#15I was a 13% free throw shooter in highschool.
Would usually just throw second shot off the rim and hope for rebound.
I was a Tim Horton's All Canadian. Played Centre.

#19Stephen A. Smith thinks Dwight Howard is on his way out in Houston. He also believes that Howard’s Rockets teammates are sending him the message that they don’t want him around anymore. As evidence he points to the fact that Howard hasn’t hit double digits in field goal attempts in 13 games. To Stephen A. that proves his teammates don’t care to get the big man the ball.
It’s a fair argument. Howard is making $22.359 million this year and is supposed to be part of the team’s “big two” with James Harden. Yet Howard has largely been a bystander over the past few weeks. He hasn’t broken the 20-point barrier in 15 games, and hasn’t reached double digits in scoring in seven of the team’s last 13 contests. That’s pretty insane for a 30-year-old center who is supposed to be a major part of the team’s offense.

#24fat chance here, but maybe Dwight will grow a set of balls, opt out, and decide to play for a lot less for a consistent contender?

Spurs
Blazers
Pacers
