The White Shadow Fans- Coach Reeves dead at 71--OH NO!!!
When I say that this show was so underrated, I mean it. From 1978-1981, this show was my go to show. Ken Howard (Coach Reeves) had passed away at 71!. I hate hearing stuff like this. I URGE all of you younger guys to get the dvd's and watch the show. I promise you; you won't regret it. There was comedy, sports, and blacks and whites acting like family (friends) and the coach would do anything for any member of his team.

I can remember being a 9 year old kid and my dad ( who died prematurely), would cook me Lenders Pizza Bagels and let me skip school to watch the tape of the show on his Betamax and VHS. It was the greatest.

I'm 44 going on 45, but I know the younger guys will say "big deal".

I'M TELLING YOU. WATCH THE SERIES AND THANK ME AFTER VERY SAD

Warren Coolidge (6 foot 8) "Cool" (could really play ball), Morris Thorpe 5 7 point guard and a character, James Hayward (tough guy and cool), Curtis Jackson (wearing the hat and the shades), Mario Patrino Jr. (SALAMI) Owner of the car that the entire team sat in at one time called the Hotel California, Ricky Go Go Gomez coming off the bench, Abner Goldstein power forward and the team would crack on him being geeky but they loved him.

In the last season, others were added and blended well. So many great episodes. Players going on a tournament and sneaking in the casino the night before (they lost the tourney by 30 due to no sleep). Salami getting a piece of his teacher and a hottie. Lot's of guess stars. Bill Russell teaching Coolidge how to dominate the post. Mike Warren of the old UCLA teams with Kareem. Devastating news
