5 dead in Istanbul suicide bombing on the 19th.

36 killed in Ankara bombing on the 13th.

23 today in Belgium.

There are bombings almost daily that we don't hear much about in the west.

When does it fukkin stop? The world has become an endless and depressing parade of carnage.

And for what? What tangible gains does terrorism ever achieve?

Makes me sick, honestly.

As it is happening certainly more often than ever, it is currently the most peaceful era in human history. With such access to the Internet in our pockets, we are more aware of world affairs. It appears to make the world a gloomy shithole though it is quite beautiful. There is plenty to be proud and optimistic about. It's just news sells horror and tragedy much more than positivity.

Religion, mostly to those without wealth and education is their only sense of being. When you're in despair and really have no hope, those turn to religion and more importantly martyrdom.

I agree and know what you are talking about. Isolated attacks carried out by transnational non-state actors are increasing though. Traditional inter-state and civil wars are declining and less prevalent than ever but my issue with terrorism or more specifically attacks by non-state actors is that they often target civilians and specifically non strategic targets.

Belgium is a disaster. They take in a lot of refugees from war torn Islamic states and hate just festers in these neighborhoods there.

Remember when they used to say terrorism was the result of western occupation of the middle east? What did belgium do? To my knowledge, they make beer, waffles, pomme frites and mussels. They seem ok to me.

These attacks were defiantly perpetrated by refugees.
You put all these refugees in the same neighbourhood and expect that they won't plan terror attack.

Not necessarily, the guy from the Paris attacks they caught the other day was born in Brussels, Belgium of moroccan decent. Brussels is like 30% Muslims of mostly Moroccan and Turkish decent.

All Belgium has to do is make a law totally outlawing bombs. This will automatically stop incidents like this.

if this was a mass shooting half the left wingers on this forum would be slamming guns and anyone who doesn't want them banned but it was a bombing but I don't hear anyone saying, hey we should ban bombs because that always works right? Just ban them because we all know that is the answer. That takes care of everything, if there are more laws on bombs surely not even terrorists would be able to get the necessary things to build bombs to kill people right?
