Dig through the trash cans in front of the liquor store to figure out the best play. The more losers you find for a certain game the higher your odds of hitting! Extra bonus: usually find a few bucks worth of cans and bottles to feed your scratcher addiction

Scratch offs are for losers who want to give there money away. Look at the odds on the back of the ticket. Usually 1 in 5. And that is to just break even which is usually what happens. I laugh when I go to the gas stations and see idiots scratch off those things. I wish they would just give me there money. You will never win. Jerkoffs buy scratch offs. No offense to anyone but it's the truth.

And I love the people who say I won $500 one time. Yeah how much have you spent your whole life buying the things. Maybe $10,000 before you ever won anything.

odds are 1 in 3 for the ten and 20 dollar ones. 1 in 5 is the cheap ones. just saying , not defending em they are dumb. I'll buy one a month maybe and like giving em as gifts.

bad gift idea.(what if it's a big winner, you'd feel like a fool) hard to nail a scratch big winner. got to go to the right store at the right time and ask for the right ticket out of about 60 hanging behind the counter. tough to do.

I personally never play the lottery cause of the long odds but I know people who do religiously. The more money the ticket costs, the more people I see playing win. I've never seen anyone win more than a free ticket or a couple bucks on the $1, $2 or $3 ones. The $5 I've seen people win a bit more, like $20. The $10 ones a bit more like $50 or $100. The $20 and $25 ones bigger money, like $200 or $300. The most I've ever personally seen someone win was a guy in my old bowling league, playing I think it was a $25 one, hit for $500 and everyone was super stoked like he just won a million or something. So that should tell you that people never win big on those things cause they all used to play them all night. You have a better chance of winning just taking your money and slapping it down on a random -110 line or going to the casino and picking player or banker in baccarat, if you're just looking for action or to blow money.

That why you should scratch them, if they aren't a winner use a marker and cover them up again, then give them out for a gift to someone who never plays. They won't know the difference and it would be funny to see them try to scratch off the marker. It's a win win for you

Had a buddy hit $50k on one, think he netted $35k after taxes. He used to drop $100 every time he bought them.
