Is There A Way TO Stop Gambling Other Than GA??
Buddy asked me and I did not know the answer.

I know if you go to GA 7 days a week it is 100% certain you will not gamble.

I told him to try a Dr

You should not have to quit. The foundation to successful gambling is money management. 1. Do not play any casino game. I.e. have online casino accounts shut down. Stay off of casino floor except to go play poker. Go to sportsbook. Go to eat
Go to restroom. Casino games are off limit unless you count. CArds at blackjack. 2. Only wager on sports and play poker. 3. Sports has its own bankroll that is used for nothing else but sports. The normal range of a wager is 1-2% of bankroll. Up to 5% on a max play. At no sungle time does more then 5% of sports bankroll get put into play. 4. Poker has its own bankroll and is only used for poker. I do not know standard for poker tourneys as i only play cash. . but the bankroll. Should be 50 buyins for online 6 tops. Nl cash. 100 buyins if you find a brick mortar casino that spreads 6 top. Full ring is even less buy ins online or brick and mortar. 5. Study your ass off on sports or tail the proven winner. There is not many sports bets going out day to day. 6. Across the street ive been tracking a legal sports betting account. Showing pics. Of my activity I hit a new high this week. Its been tracked for a half year. With pics of account. And any watcher knows the account has grown from baby infancy to. A point where it can ne cashed out. 7. On poker i dont show that account as im in oklahoma. So you have to take my word. This year playing nl cash 6 tops only my bankroll is up 22%. It has ranged up max 37% to a drop from that to 9% where i tightened my game up some. 8. Thats it. You shouldnt have to quit gamblimg. Growth is slow but so are losses. Good luck

a buddy of mine is a compulsive gambler and he goes to GA, hasnt placed a bet in 4 years, another buddy of mine goes to AA and he hasnt had a drink in 8 years, 12 step programs work because its cleansing to talk about your problems with other men and live on spiritual basis, the part that turns some people off is the higher power thing but you can believe in whatever the main thing is to abstain from gambling if you are a compuslive gambler

Right now, I have a problem.
So what I do is I spend all my $$$ on bills, and other bull shit.

Still, only a deterrent. I still played fifty bucks on Keno, last night.
Won 10 bucks, though, cashed out-but not the point.

Been over a month since I bet on sports, too.
I was on Fremont last night, still didn't bet sports.
                            Didn't even gamble, too.
Right before I got home, went across the street to 7/11, hit the Keno.

Credit and debit cards are in a freezer jar of ice until 1 day before a bill has to be paid.

what about going to see a counselor/therapist ect...

the first thing I work on when I want to take long extended breaks is replacing the habit with something. You can't just say I want to stop gambling and then not have anything to do. You have to distract yourself with another hobby(ies). Got to try something more fulfilling in this game plan

I would bring parlay cards and book action vig free at my local GA meeting. Start them with small limits. Nothing too crazy.
