they were up 5 and Celtics missed a 3 bad... but got a rebound, and smartly passed it back out for another 3 with like 5 seconds left... and it went in. so they made free throws to only go up 4... then the last 3 went in too... didn't matter. if he missed ATL wins by 4 and Wizz had -5

ATL gets the reb w/about 7 seconds left and they go up 6 or 7 and all Wizz needed was one more 3 to miss by Boston.

i call it a decent bad beat... but we've all suffered thru many bad beats much worse than this one in my book

can you change your avatar? that pick still haunts me as it reminds me of how the Chargers always gave the Colts fits and they owned Manning on that particular night & I think Vinatieri missed a 29 yard FG at the end to win the game on a crazy, rainy night... Colts would've won the 4th quarter 17-0 and completed a 7 to 23 deficit comeback bid... lol

i consider a bad beat something that screws you at the end.. say atl goes up 7 and boston hits a meaningless 3 to end it.. not a bunch of "if this.... and that... and then this... he woulda won"

it was 2 situations that had to occur with 6 or 7 seconds left after somebody on Boston missed a 3... ATL just needed the rebound and then 1 final miss from Boston at the buzzer basically

but Boston got the rebound, hit a 2nd chance 3 and cut it to 2... get it?

so UNC winning the title game was a bad beat because they had just made a 10 pt comeback to tie it up with 5 minutes left and would've had all momentum in OT... in your opinion? i call it bad defense... not a bad beat due to it being the final shot of the game to keep it from going to OT... epic bad beat if they had made a further out... more contested 3 at the buzzer to win the title

choking away a double digit point lead with the title on the line with bad play isn't and wouldn't be a bad beat in my opinion... they thought they could run out the clock then missed some late free throw's to open the door with Paige and his 3 point shooting

differing opinions... just interesting to compare not the games, but different situations as to being a bad beat or not

Haha yea I know it's bad. I thought they'd muck it up in Game 1 and hang around. It was a close game for most of the first half and then Spurs went on that run to go up 11 at the half and just added on right out the gate in the second half.

i did double up on spurs 2h -6.5... Just thought they would run away with it. In these semi-blowout type games, once the home team gets going in the 2h, it seems as if they get easy bucket after easy bucket after easy bucket, while the road team struggles to score.. Especially against a team like the spurs who play very tough D. I understand your reasoning for sure, but i just had some weird feeling this was gonna be an easy one for the spurs.

Im on clips. GL on portland. The main reasons i am betting clips tonight is because of the fact favs are crushing. Also, a big reason is the fact that portland series price went from +305 to +430. This is huge movement. Again, weird feeling the clips are gonna have their way tonight with a team with not much, if any playoff experience, see heat/hornets game. Heat dominated from start to finish. I kinda think this one goes the same way.. Doc is just a much better coach. More playoff experience on the whole team, and just better up and down the roster.. I will be happy if clips cover ML though, as i have them in a few parlays. BOL
