One of my favorite quotes from Bud was when a member of British Royalty was caught picking his or her nose on Live TV, he quipped "Nice forehand!"

Met him 1x in the 70s. My dad had tickets to world team Tennis, Boston Lobsters.

He was covering the match for the Globe, walking around. He stopped and talked with us for a few minutes.

Class personified.
