Most of the time , the best number doesn't even come into play.
Most games aren't even close to falling into the category to even make a difference.
You get +2.5 and they lose by 5 , but I got the best number ? It's a Loss , just as if you had the worst number at +1
They both pay the same , nothing, you lost .
Will you find instances , sure , it's gambling , Vegas sets a line they think is right , but more often than not the best line doesn't even matter.
Just my opinion
Of course it doesn't matter most of the time. But the few percent that it does happen can be that fine line between being a loser or winner.
