Worst Saturday I have ever had at college hoops ever so when you actually bet money it's good to take things called breaks. ...I believe a great deal can be learned from watching this game and, for now, am sitting on the sidelines of what is essentially a +EV play on Kansas until I can further decipher the markets intentions...

Based on the cues I was seeing from the market I saw this as becoming a much closer game, and it was.

I essentially ruled out the upset but couldn't rule out a 1 or 2 point Kansas win. I paid for the winner as security against the potential spread problem.

Another alternative could have been a teaser, but, under the circumstances, keeping this play by itself seemed wiser.

I see why your asking and it's valid. Over the long haul the price for the winner was high but this was more of a short term risk.

Sometimes we can wait a little longer to place a bet in hopes of gaining more information and end up paying more for it in points or price.

This can be a slippery slope but often, when I wait for more information, that increase in price is essentially just the cost for that information.

And it can be worth it.
