I agree.. Update things to make it more exciting.. Give it a modern twist and ditch some of the old "sports".
But, to answer the question, when the winter Olympics were going on last time everyone at my former place of employment was wanting them to be put on the TVs scattered around the office. Granted 95% of them were morons, but people still watch them for some reason.Comment -

another reason to cancel the Olympics is the virus Zika. There is no way for young people to travel safely due to this virus + Brazil has this problem. Currently we have a public health emergency (international) and it is quite irresponsible to host Olympics. I think in such a situation these games can be at least moved if not cancelledComment -
