I'm a Mavs fan, so maybe a little biased, but going by the matchups against the Jazz the last 2/3 years, you usually see a big gulf in the teams, Carlisle owns that team. The Mavs even beat the Jazz last year playing without Ellis and Tyson Chandler. The Mavs usually are able to contain Utah's putrid offense and find ways to score on offense. The Jazz don't really know how to finish games either.
The Mavs are coming off their best game of the season.Multiple players had great games. They clearly showed more emotion and effort than normal, after that humiliation against the Spurs the night before.
I usually don't bet on the Mavs because they are old, slow and unathletic. They often get off to slow starts and are chasing all game. You rarely have a safe game with them. With that said, I do think that this line is appealing because, assuming they play with the same kind of aggressiveness they did in Memphis, they will win with some comfort. It's a huge game with playoff implications.
Still, because the Mavs have been far less than reliable, it's a no bet for me right now. I will bet live.Comment -

Every single NBA game has runs where it goes over and under the original total. Just have to be sharp and willing to sit through all 3 quarters timeout to timeout ready to pounce.
