To save $400, I'd stay at the Trop. If you're by yourself, it's not that bad. I've stayed everywhere, and I'd equate Trop with the LV Hilton. Not somewhere you'd stay with your girl, but by yourself it's doable.

Especially if this is the difference between a really nice dinner, or the Sam's Town buffet. You should definitely stay at Trop.

never stayed at the Trop, but a few years back when i was thinking of going a couple of weeks for the WSOP i looked at their rooms online. looks like they've redone them to where they are decent. i'm sure there are some things that can't be covered up though. however, if they were offering them for free, i would certianly consider.

problem is, i don't like many of the casinos around there. when going on a budget, i tend to stay at TI which is usually pretty cheap and around more of the casinos i like. plus the wife loves their asian food room service.
