Megyn Kelly admitted after the debate that Ted Cruz was right about his position on legalization and that his amendments were designed to poison the gang of 8 immigration bill. Thus Rubio and Paul were also wrong of claiming Cruz was for legalization.

Exactly. Ted is poison. He can't even agree with his own party on anything and was the orchestrator of shutting down the govt.

So he authored an amendment to become part of the bill which, as a part of the whole bill, included "legalization"....but since he really intended for the amendment/bill to fail and presumed that it would fail, then he didn't really "support" it. So basically, he wrote it, proposed it, offered it.....but didn't "support" it. Have I got the Washington-to-English dictionary right?
