Who all here has gambled in Shreveport?

Came over last night to meet some friends and gamble. Haven't been here in at least 10 years.

Wow! What a shithole this place is. Smokers everywhere, and you can only imagine the clientele. Food sucks too.

I've also lost my ass on cards, so my attitude is probably pretty shitty overall right now.

Go to Shreveport about every other month. Stay at Eldorado or Margaritaville. They have pretty good comps...sometimes we double book both casinos so when can go up to a room at either. If they are free, why not?

As for the clientele, there can be some pretty sketchy people at times. But that is usually half the fun of the evening. Plus, since we've been going there forever, we know a good portion of pit bosses/dealers. That definitely helps the comp situation.

As my wife says, let's go to "ghetto Vegas". These two places certainly aren't any worse than what you would find JJ at in Vegas.

Many years ago when it was first legalized I was there recruiting for GE. Can't even remember the hotel I was staying at, but I remember the smoke was so thick and it looked surreal. Some years later, I realized it was probably the inspiration for the Walking Dead.

I go to Shreveport every month or so. We usually stay at the Horseshoe since the rooms are free.

Been to both and both are depressing but Reno is much better than Shreveport....Lowseyana is a terrible state
