Astros need a first baseman, and I'm glad they didn't go this route. Seems like these big guys fade out much sooner than later.

Full no trade clause thrown in this also. I might have felt more comfortable signing Cespedes to 2 less years.

The last 3 or 4 years of that deal will be absolute torture.

I suspect that Davis is one of the biggest PED users in the game. Already busted once.

                  Agreed. It's laughable.

Certain team management is delusional!!!! Who was giving him anywhere near what he got???

Its not necessarily that they are out of control but these TV contracts are so big these teams are making so much money. If these players weren't getting the money then the owners would just be keeping it all. But that being said he isn't producing to be a 160$ mil player. Watch for Bryce Harper to be the first 500$ mil contract.

Peter Gammons came out and said that the Astros are a dark horse in getting Cespedes. Please, tell me this is true. Would fit in great with our lineup, and does not cost us a draft pick. Would probably have to trade Carlos Gomez, but would be an upgrade, nonetheless.

Was nailed for the use of Adderall, which allows him to focus better as the plate. MLB has since granted him an exemption, which allows him to use.
