I like betting totals in basketball at halftime
Strategy includes following fouls, free throw shooting percentage
I look at how fast offense shoots first shot during shot clock
How fast transition is, and how often

When it comes to baseball and hockey, almost all I do is bet totals.
Very little late steam there however, if that's what you're looking for.

I bet them for most sports.
On college hoops totals I don't tend to hold near as much value in late/close to tip steam as I do the more traditional time around 10-11. Used to be pretty funny to watch the board right at widely available release for hoops when it would light up.

NBA Live betting.
Have original spread in hand. Track game live, and hit the under at the games highest post, or the over at the games lowest point.
Example, if a game total is 197.5. And I like the over originally, im going to track the game live, and ill play it at it's 10 point difference.
(Last night, Jazz/Rockets were 194.5, {I liked game OVER originally, but I knew I'd get a better number live}, 2nd QTR, both teams had a slow run, total was at 180.5, I played the over 180.5 there}. Game ended up flying over both spreads. Point being, I liked the over 197.5, and by playing it live I got it at an OVER at 180.5. Much happier.
Same thing Michigan/Purdue last night. Original line was 133.5, 8min in the total was 119.5.
Basketball is game of runs, a matter of being smart and patient and finding the lowest/highest point in the game.

Tonight, I like the OVER in Toronto/Washington. 201.5
First matchup was in the 160's
Second matchup was in the 180's,
Im going to track the whole game live, and hit the over at the games lowest point. I'll shoot for a mid 180's, low 190's, in the first half when one team hits a cold streak.

I like this one
I won't use it as much, because station casinos only have nationall televised games, in game wagering, here in Law Vegas
