University Of Memphis Dismisses Player From Team After Ballboy Altercation

Memphis cornerback Reggis Ball attacked a member of the Auburn equipment staff following Auburn’s 31-10 win in the Birmingham Bowl and stole the game ball.

Ball then triumphantly raised the stolen item above his head and ran toward the Memphis locker room.

The University of Memphis issued a statement apologizing for Ball's actions and announcing his removal from the team.

After reading the story, the obvious and logical thing came to mind. I figured Bell must have had an int and simply wanted a game ball from the bowl game, his final game, and wanted something to remember and share his career with others in the future. Bell didnt have just 1 int, he had 2. Which makes the entire thing logical, Im sure he asked for a ball and the ball boy said no, its not a big deal, give him a ball, not right what he did no doubt, but geez.
