ive been there before actually had the opportunity to go to a Phillies game when they were playing the Dodgers...Utleys first year I believe and I watched a kid and his dad get hot dogs thrown at them for wearing dodgers jerseys...
Jeeper once again you're way off base here. I was at that game and no one "threw" hot dogs at these fans. We were mearly passing the dogs down the row after they were purchased from the vendor.

decent? Coach, he came in and won 10 games instantly
Not many coaches, if any, ever do that in the NFL
This is a stupid decision. But the Eagles are the Eagles
I admit he made bad personnel decisions, but just this year. And by the way, he's the one that set up the high expectations because he did so well so early.
Gimme a break, the pundits are idiotic on this one.

Jim Caldwell won 14 games his rookie year, took his team to the Super Bowl, and might get fired for a second time.

No one is coming out and saying it, but Chip is an asshole to the players. That is what everyone is beating around the bush and saying. There is probably a LOT of behind the scenes information that we do not know.
In this day and age, no one wants to play for an asshole and you can't be an asshole and win as a coach. The players won't want to play for you.
Also, you just don't fire a coach unless you have a couple of people in mind, which is what I think Lurie has in mind. Two candidates is their old defensive coach who is now in Carolina and the offensive coordinator in New England.
Chip is too inflexible for the NFL simply put.

Uhhhh….Wade Phillips was 13-3 his first year with Dallas, and no one thinks he's a fukkin genius.
Wade won with Parcell's players, just like Chip won with Andy Reid's players. It is what it is.

The Eagles are free to suck any way they want, but I didn't see Chip Kelly
dropping any passes or fumbling any balls.
It happens. You put a good team together, you coach them well
but they just don't get it done.
btw he was only fired because he skoffed at the offer to remove GM duties
but stay as coach.

Rich Kotite won a boat load of games his first year. You think he was a good coach too? The guys personal moves were awful. every single one and gave up a two this year to get Bradford who may be gone this year.

nobody wants to watch a shitty offense in this rotten scheme go three and out in thirty seconds to turn it over to a shitty gassed defense. Buddy would have punched him in the mouth like he did that stiff Tenn coach with that run and shoot bullshit. This is the type of coach who prolly thinks he didn't do anything wrong.

Chip went wrong when he started cutting guys like Jackson and giving away McCoy for pennies on the dollar. You want to get rid of guys fine, but you need to get value back. When you go bargain basement with your roster, well its not going to end good.

Trading for a QB that didn't fit his system was wrong too. Though still think he thought he could use Bradford as bait to trade up in draft

New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick put his public support behind former Philadelphia Eagles head coach Chip Kelly, as well as the overall coaching profession, early Thursday morning. The Eagles fired Kelly on Tuesday after three seasons.
"I'd say it's really disappointing. I mean, Chip Kelly, to me, is a really good football coach. He does a great job and he's done a great job with that team," Belichick said in an expansive news conference. "Pretty much everyone is on a one-year contract in this league. I don't know how you build a program in one year. ... Chip is a great coach. He'll end up somewhere and will do a great job there."
