Many restaurants appear to have a pretty good selection of craft-ier belgian trappist and german stuff which is some of my favourite stuff. I am pleasantly surprised by the selection.

Part of town I am staying in is not particularly happening from what I can tell. Granted it is a sunday night.

I walked over to St. Peter's basilica earlier tonight. The scale of place was insane. The lineup to get in was insane, atleast 1000+ people deep. Have to go through security so I said fukk it and left.

Saw balcony but there was no pope. Someone was telling me that apparently the new pope doesn't even live there anymore as he rejects the luxury and grandeur of popedom. He lives uptown in a bachelor and takes the bus to and from work everyday.

Wandered into some nearby church and didn't realize I was supposed to tap the holy water and cross myself upon entry. Took me a while to realize why people were looking at me when we just walked in, took a seat and started posting on SBR from church wifi.

I think I will go to Naples for a night if I can convince at least one other to come with me and stay out all night. Otherwise I just have to go and hope I can get laid and crash at her place and take the train back in the morning. Not sure what the odds of that are.

Florence kinda far. I will see if I can talk anyone into it. Going to Naples because everyone wants to go to Pompei and you have to go through Naples to get there. I don't really know much about the place. Just figured I would check out the nightlife, women etc.

It's gonna be tough because I don't speak a work of Italian. My charm doesn't translate like I would like it to. Persistence is the key though.

Not a lot of women on their own though I have noticed. Tons of couples. Everyone is like 5'6 though so I stand out a little. This is a good thing, I think.

Mo, for what it's worth I've lived in Rome and Naples.

Best place to go get drinks and night life in Rome is Trastevere. Make sure to see the Sistine chapel and ceiling by Michelangelo or else you defeated the entire purposes of going to Rome.

If you go to Naples, best thing I can tell you is it is a crazy place and chaotic but ppl are fun. Most important thing in Naples is food. It is where pizza was invented and the only thing ppl in Napoli take seriously is their foods. Go to the piazza Dante in Napoli, there is a restaurant called Bellini. You won't be disappointed.

If you are going to see Pompeii then at least take a cruise through the Amalfi coast. Once you see this place you be ready for the next life.

Lastly, girls in Italy don't do hit and run jobs, you will have to make a girlfriend to get anywhere, even if for just a few days. If you do find a loose chick, make sure the real name isnt Salvatore. Buon viago

Amalfi coast is unreal.....I liked Rome and flew out of Naples so had to stay there for a night

The taxi ride was like a roller coaster....no rules on the roads literally and trash everywhere

Food good and I guess some nice areas although I didn't got out too long as I had an early morning flight
