#37Thought the Zimbabweans posted a half competitive total.
Just goes to show you the influence that T20 cricket has had on batsmen's confidence in backing themselves to strike the ball...
Good workComment -

#39Coach who you like Perth vs Melbourne ?
I lean Perth. Melbourne hasn't won against Perth ever 0-4 and Perth gets a key player back. Should we lock it in?Comment -

#40Moherman tbh haven't been paying much attention of BBL05 but the money seems to be coming in on the renegades here and if they bat 1st and Gayle starts to fire then the scorchers could be in for quite the run chase...
Staying away but do lean the scorchers partially because they are paying +EV money and seasoned experience...

Expect a real entertaining match here. If melbourne win i expect its only going to be the result of a total tug of war between the two sides...
On face value this is probably the best match of the season on the card thus far...

#45Interesting decision by the Scorchers to send The Renegades in. It's near 100 degrees in Melb and will cool down a bit by the time Melbourne take the field.Comment -

#47Yeah, probably be something like that. I know I'd rather be on the team batting first because I just think there's less pressure on the bats, but these guys are getting more used to the 20 over game so tactics are going to change. Should be a good game. Renegades must be due to hit a score soon.
Backing them because my son does a bit of work with the team, but I also really like in-play trading on T20 cricket.Comment -

#48Any thing over 160, scorchers would find it very difficult, they lean a lot on Marsh and Klinger, Turner can do a bit, but would be toughComment -

#57Should be easy win for Renegades...Scorchers would probably end in 140-150s at most I guessComment -

#61Scorchers are cruising. They're good at this game.
Odds moved from
1.49/3.00 at start of innings with $14m matched. Perth too big at 3.00
to
8.00/1.12. 60 runs needed off 42 balls $25m matched.Comment -

#64These games. I usually take an early position and trade in and out in-play. Normally I take the dog, but tonight I took the Renegades. Was on the wrong side but did OK on the game. After a while you get a feel for "wrong" prices and it gets easier to spot exit and entry opportunities. . Had a few disasters early, but I do ok now just trading on the games.
The high liquidity ($30m today) and the over reaction to small events within the games makes them perfect for trading. I think one of the advantages of trading on cricket (compared to other good trading sports like tennis) is that you usually get enough time between events (wickets, a burst of scoring) to assess the situation and decide whether to go in or not. I found tennis a bit more hectic.
Today's game was unusual in that no wickets were lost in the 2nd Inn, but that's the first time a team has done that (in this league). There's generally more volatility to trade on.
In saying all that though, more traders are getting involved in this game every day. The big edges will probably soon disappear and trading on the game will become more of a grind. Eking out 3 or 4 ticks a trade doesn't really interest me (I'm not knocking that method of trading though, some guys do fine playing like that in high liquidity markets).Comment -

#65The play hit cooch. I thought Perth made a mistake by letting Melbourne hit first but I guess that was part of the master plan. Lol nice hit boysComment -

#66With pleasure...
If you dont mind juice take the Adelaide Strikers tonight at around $1.60
Sydney Sixers injury depleted with the leagues best all-rounder Henriques out due to injury amd their most economical bowlers in O'Keefe and Lyon also not playing.
Strikers will give the people of Adelaide more than one reason to celebrate the new year tonight...Comment -

Basically the squad they play with in T20 is the same as their One Day and Test match squad.
That extra degree of comradery shows itself on the field...Comment -
