I wouldn't just assume that these injuries are always 1) Real, or 2) the same exact kind of injury as another guy's injury.

If I don't have the right insoles in my shoes, it's bad news. Walking hurts if I don't have the right arch support. I've had plantar fascitis for over a decade now. I couldn't imagine if it tore.

Peyton is probably just sidelined with "5 neck surgeries finally killed my arm strength for good". You don't want to sit a HOFer like that at the end of his career for ineffectiveness, you have to make something up. It's done all the time.

Peyton was playing with this injury, he just sucked while playing through it.
Brees will be on the same road if he plays through it. He lives off the deep ball. That foot injury will limit his deep balls in my opinion.
