How do guys make their own lines?

I hear a lot of guys say I have this number off by X number of points ect.

How does one calculate that?

Do you have to be smart at math? What stats do you look at? ect.

most use a computer program and jut plug stats in

The programs are usually tailored for this and the user hires someone to write the code

Nobody uses pencil and paper

pose the question in the think tank. if anyone around there is nice enough to not laugh at you, you might get some information.

what you're probably gonna get though is a lot of guys telling you to "take a basic statistics course then come back" or some other such assholishness. but maybe someone will help you. maybe tell you to read some stanford wong or something.
