Yes and it's brilliant on Vegas' part. They wait for offshore's to post the opening lines, wait for public reaction and then post there line.

This happened with the SEC Championship game. Offshore's opened it at Alabama -13.5, Vegas laughed, waited then posted their lines at 17.5 and larger.

There was never an Alabama ticket -13.5 or less in Vegas.

Smart money makes money.
