#3My philosophy is if you think there are too many, don't watch them. We have a playoff system now. Let as many kids as possible get an extra trip, and enjoy themselves. Helps the coaches with more practicing also. No harm. Let them have the Toilet Bowl, if they choose to.Comment -

#16Well maybe a 16 team field. Make regular season one game shorter.
The NFL pumps those broken bodies full of some of the best drugs money can buy!
I don't know the logistics of it but, you could make it work.Comment -

#18You make the valid point with too many bowls but used a bad example. Bowling Green vs. Georgia Southern is actually a very intriguing match up between 2 good teams. I'm looking forward to that game. Lot's of good players on both sides. Always interesting to see if a team like Bowling Green can handle that Georgia Southern option. Western Michigan sure couldn't, but that was a long time ago. I think most true college football fans will look forward to that game. Plus, I find the shade of blue that Ga. Southern uses quite soothing. It's as close to being purple that blue can be while still being blue.Originally posted by pavyracerToo many bowls. Bowling Green vs Georgia Southern. You had some real stinkers to choose from, like Akron vs. Utah State (on blue turf),Va. Tech vs Tulsa, Central Michigan vs. Minnesota, and a bowl so ignored that they had to bring in 2 teams from the same conference (Nevada vs. Colorado St). A down year Boise St. playing a No. Illinois team not in top form is a game I surely won't be viewing at all.Comment -

#24Losing teams like San Jose State in bowls is pretty comical. But if you'll bet on it, they'll play it and ESPN will televise it. They know if you've got money on it, you'll watch. And if they put it on TV, if you don't have money on it, plenty of people will put money on it and watch.Comment
